Information regarding online lessons

Dear Parent/Guardian,

I hope that you and your family are keeping well.

On behalf of everyone at the High School, I want to personally thank you all for your assistance with online learning since the middle of March. It certainly has been a difficult and trying time for us all and l realise that this has not been ideal. I wish to inform you that the setting of work will now cease from Friday 19th June. The last week of term will be a consolidation week for your child to get caught up on any outstanding work and for them to take part in our virtual Sport’s Day challenges. It will also allow staff time to prepare further for online lessons next term. I will send further information out at the beginning of July concerning our return later in the year.

Wishing you all well and stay safe.

Zoom meeting between pupils and the Minister of Education

Congratulations to Amy Jones Year 13 pupil who was involved in the first ever Zoom meeting between pupils and the Minister of Education, Peter Weir.  6 pupils from other schools took part in the question and answer session with the Minister and Amy asked a number of questions about what it would be like returning to school again in September during the pandemic.  Well done Amy in keeping the Minister on his toes and trying to give us some idea what it might look like in September.
