Objectives
- To reduce the amount of paper going into the black bins.
- To make us more aware of the paper we waster on printing in school.
- To recycle all waste paper produced in the school.
How to help
- Use the paper recycling bins provided in each classroom to put your waste paper only.
- Only print out final copies of your work - get your teacher to check your work before printing!
- If you're not in a classroom use the waste paper recycling points around the school (Map of bins to follow).
Benefits
- Helps the environment - less waste and fewer trees are cut down to produce paper.
- Saves school money which can be spent buying new teaching resources. This could save the school an estimated £4,000.00 a year through:
- Using less paper for printing
- Less costly for waste disposal as Council charge for disposal of black bins but not blue 'Recycle' bins.
- Feel better about yourself that you are actually 'doing your bit' to help the environment.
