Magherafelt High School has a very proud history in supporting charities based both at home and abroad. The school has a very passionate and dedicated team of staff and students who plan, organise and run fund-raising events within school. The money raised from these events is donated to one of a pre-defined list of charities that the school has chosen to support for that year

The events organised vary every year but students and staff are always encouraged to participate regardless. This has helped the school and the students develop its awareness of how we can help others in need of financial and other types of support.

It is hoped that through these charity events, students can develop a greater sensitivty towards those in need of help and care for those less fortunate than ourselves, thus developing the 'whole' child.
