There has been lots of action boiling in Cookery club so far this year. Despite the fact that Christmas Cookery was frozen due to the snow things have been heating up since January!
A faithful crowd of budding young cooks have enjoyed cookery club since September. Some on the goodies on the menu include: chocolate cake, pizza, button cookies, snowballs and best of all Miss McSorley’s delicious recipe for Vol-au-vents!
After Christmas the focus has been on the Dairy Council Young Cook of the Year Competition. Only 4 pupils were committed enough to enter this daunting task which required not only cooking up a 2 course meal but completing written work!!
Many congratulations to the following girls:
- Hayley Wilson: fantastic quiche and celebration cheesecake
- Rosanna Hunter: Special Fish Pie and mouth watering sticky toffee puddings
- Charlotte Cahoon: Posh Fish Pie and exquisite Rose-water cheesecake
- Helen Blair: Creamy baked salmon and multi-fruit layer
Well done girls – very impressive cooking! The Dairy Council have already acknowledged your entries! Photos are on the cookery club link!
