Year 8 pupils are pictured presenting a cheque for £2675 to Rosemary Gribben of Action MS.

The Action MS walk in Dromana Forest Park, Cookstown, was completed by 98 students (81 from Magherafelt High School) on the 4th MArch 2009.

MS Gribben thanked the pupils and staff for their commitment and dedication to help Action MS continue to provide support to those living with multiple sclerosis, their families and carers.

Ms Gribben also thanked the parents who supported anc encourage their children to participate in a walk for MS.

Ms Gribben went on to say: “I would like to thank all of the pupils for picking up the pace and joining a walk for MS. Congratulations to you all for raising this fantastic sum,”

Special mention must be given to Andrea Hassan who alone raised £140 and will be joined by four other students (pictured above) from year 8 at a special ceremony to recognise their efforts.
