THE CHALLENGE:
The Fun Run starts at Belfast City Hall at 9.30am and ends in Ormeau Park. It is about 2.5 miles. The Fun Run is a non-competitive event and it does not matter if you run, jog or walk – it is the taking part that counts. You will enjoy the atmosphere and meet other people who are all taking part to raise money for various good causes.

We are raising money for our fantastic new school. Sponsor forms are now available. If you need more copies please see Miss Alexander. There will be a prize for the pupil from Magherafelt High School who raises the most money!!

If you want to find out more about the challenge which lies ahead log onto the website www.belfastcitymarathon.com.

There will be a team meeting just before the Easter Holidays to finalise arrangements. Remember, the Fun Run takes place on the last day of your holidays – so all details will be given before term ends for your Easter break! Take every opportunity over Easter, and before then, to gather up sponsorship.

The bus will leave Magherafelt High School at 7.30am sharp on Monday 2nd May. We should be back at about 1pm. We plan to stop at Junction 1 for lunch on the way home. However, please bring food and drinks with you.

Because we are raising money for our school it would be great if everyone wears the school kit! You can wear any bottoms (shorts or track suit bottoms) as long as you wear your P.E t-shirt & hoody (if it is cold). Also make sure you have a comfy pair of trainers!! Please bring a change of clothes and a warm top especially if it is wet!

In the meantime training is not really necessary – just look forward to the day.

Once again thank you for signing up and hopefully our team will have a great day out and raise lots of money.

I will be in touch soon with further details
