Between the 9th and 11th May, Mrs 'The Real Chuck Norris' Davidson, Mr 'Bear Grylls' Bryson and Mrs 'Just call me Ray Mears' McAleece set off for Rostrevor accompanied by an intrepid bunch of Year 11 Prince's Trust students. It was to be an adventure they'll never forget...for all sorts of reasons!

Students and teachers alike were literally thrown in at the deep-end on occasion, taking part in all manner of activities which included:

• Boldering,
• Forest walk to Rostrevor Viewpoint ,
• Canoeing, Pier jumping,
• Jet ski ride, Rib ride,
• Banana boating,
• Learning to put up a tent,
• Sleeping out under canvas,
• Campfire building,
• Night line,
• Crate building,
• Archery,
• Rope climbing,

After listening to all their story's we put together a 'word-cloud' to summarise the key moments from the trip (larger words represent more popular stories as mentioned by the students and teachers)

Mountain bears, three ‘chickens’(Lee, Adam and Dean) that slept indoors, Stephen Badger being quiet and eating dandelions, early morning roaring donkeys, No phone signals, sharing tents, sleep-laughing, bear in a window, banana-boating, 4-jammie-dodger Nicole, Dean Martin’s Teddy,

All staff and students thoroughly enjoyed their time in Rostrevor and some are even looking forward again to next year's adventure!

The staff on the trip would like to take this opportunity to thank the year 11s for their enthusiasm and excellent behaviour during the trip.

It'll certainly make the decision as to whether to return a whole lot easier....
